Gossip On Trent Reznor And Marilyn Manson

By Miss Truth for CDNow All Star Music News on January 1, 1997

Marilyn Manson's apparently trying to make amends with Trent Reznor. The two have reportedly had a strained relationship for a little while now (that is, if you believe the rumor that David Lynch really wanted Marilyn more involved in the Lost Highway soundtrack; but Trent insists that's not true, and, well the soundtrack came out amazing, sooooo...). Marilyn was overheard saying this to Trent at a recent show: "Let's just forget everything and start over." Awwww. We didn't know the creepy singer had a soft side. Oh, and in addition to Marilyn plotting to work with Snoop Doggy Dogg, he also just did a track with Tricky. Cool... NIN guitarist Robin Finck went off to play with the Canadian circus troupe Cirque Du Soleil (!).Then there's the Tapeworm saga, which was a side- project of everyone but Trent Reznor, though he got himself involved in it anyway. Hmmm... So, the fairy- loving Tori Amos is working on a new album, and we hear it's way more "electric" this time. Her manager, Arthur Spivak, would only say this about Tori's direction for the album: "With Tori, she knows where she wants to go; we won't know until it comes out. There's many mood shifts with her, because all she does is her art. She has the ability to change because her voice is so versatile"
