LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 27, 2005--MySpace.com, the leading lifestyle and social networking portal, today announced its sponsorship of the Nine Inch Nails/Queens of the Stone Age 40-city U.S. concert tour. As the title sponsor of the highly anticipated tour, which kicked off on September 16, 2005, MySpace further engages fans both online and offline by offering concert goers exclusive footage of the show online at www.myspace.com/nin. The partnership with Myspace allows the tour to instantly reach the more than 30 million members who turn to the site for music, entertainment and communication.

"Trent Reznor has always used technology to create NIN's boundary pushing sounds. Nine Inch Nails continues to innovate by using MySpace to enable its fans to connect with its music, and importantly, with each other," said Chris DeWolfe, chief executive officer, MySpace.com. "Being a sponsor and providing tour footage on the site provides MySpace users a virtual front row seat to the Nine Inch Nails tour."

The sponsorship announcement is one component of MySpace's ongoing integrated marketing efforts for Nine Inch Nails' latest album (With_Teeth). MySpace hosted the exclusive world premiere of (With_Teeth) before retail distribution and generated more than 500,000 MySpace user streams in one week (April 26 - May 3). The album debuted at the #1 spot on the Billboard Top 200 charts and was the most successful launch week in NIN history. MySpace also provides a forum for NIN fans to interact with the music through online ACID remixes of the NIN single, "Only." Users are invited to upload personalized mixes of the track and vote for their favorite version at www.myspace.com/ninremixes. More than 1,200 user versions of the song have been created to date.

"With more than 500,000 artists and bands on MySpace uploading songs and connecting with fans, MySpace's viral network adds a new dimension to the way music is introduced to everyone. The website's uniquely networked music environment has become a favorite for fans," said Jim Guerinot, manager for Nine Inch Nails.

The 40-city tour kicked off in San Diego on September 16, and is followed by stops in Seattle, Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Dallas, Orlando, Washington DC, New York and Philadelphia among others. Additional sponsors include Ticketmaster and local radio stations.
